Long before the Sun dared to show it’s bare face a band of daring men met in the front of the church to set out on an adventure. They assembled their gear and headed for the beautiful North country of the Jordan River Valley to camp and hike the 18-mile loop trail during their two day excursion. They scrabbled across gnarled roots and collapsed foot bridges. Arriving to the fall colors in all their glory they woke the next morning to two inches of freshly fallen snow on their tents and trails. They ended their march with the grueling ascent of Dead Man’s Hill climbing 400 feet in roughly half a mile.
