Greetings New Hope, from a social distance. The Sunday Worship service will be canceled this Sunday. But of course that won’t keep us from worshipping the true and living God who is our Rock – We’re still God’s church scattered around. Let us also continue to use the tools available to encourage one another and build each other up. I’m reminded of the Biblical metaphors of the ‘wilderness wandering’ or of the ‘belly of the whale.’ Feels a bit like that. Perhaps God will use this time to draw us closer to Him and better prepare us to love others. Perhaps we’ll find ourselves being more creative. Let’s make the most of it:

“And do this understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put on the armor of light.” Romans 13:11-12

Check out the New Hope web site – we have taped some worship and teaching for the church family. It will be up sometime this weekend. If there are any needs the church family can help with let me know – people are chomping at the bit to help. It’s a bit challenging with the social distancing, (which is really an important way to love others) but just let us know. Look forward to being able to gather again!
